The farms offer a variety of learning opportunities for people of all ages, working with local educators and other partner to foster education about sustainable practices. With 1400 acres to explore in every season, including pasturelands, woodlands, gardens and historic buildings, take a walk around the ground, enroll in a summer camp or take a class. Vermont Teddy Bear Company

 

Your visit to Shelburne wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Vermont Teddy Bear, located on Route 7. With bears and other creatures for every personality, occasion and circumstance, you are sure to find stuffed animal friend. Babies, kids and adults alike can enjoy a behind-the-scenes-factory tour, making their own bear in the design studio, and meeting the bear designer herself!

 

Shelburne Museum

 

Calling all history buffs! Experience American history, art and design, right in the heart of Shelburne. Founded by Electra Webb, the Shelburne Museum boasts thirty-nine individual structures over forty-five acres. Home to a variety of works of art, “a collection of collections,” including American folk art, French Impressionist paintings, quilts, dolls, New England architecture and so much more. Stop by to see the explore the buildings and gardens or take advantage of the online exhibitions!

 

Eat (and Drink) Your Heart Out

 

Whatever you’re hungry for, Shelburne has an eatery for you. Sip the tasting room at Fiddlehead Brewing Company, enjoy the wood fired pizza at Folino’s, shop your favorite local wines at the Shelburne Vineyard, and try the famous eclectic American fare at The Bearded Frog. Don’t miss the craft food and art gallery at Rustic Roots or burger night and drafts at the Shelburne Tap House either!

 

Shelburne Orchards

 

Off of Bostwick Road, Shelburne Orchards is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike. A bustling apple haven during the fall harvest, Shelburne Orchards offers a variety of pre-picked and pick-your-own apples, freshly baked apple cider donuts and pies, peaches, plums, sour cherries, table grapes, pressed cider, hay rides, and pumpkins – to name a few. In the winter months, the orchard doesn’t stay quiet, instead the crew is hard at work distilling their very own Dead Bird Brandy from fallen apples! Stop by to explore the grounds, sip apple brandy in the tasting room, take the kids for a hay ride or even buy an apple tree.
