This Valentine's Day, why not show your home some love too? Everyone likes to feel appreciated from time to time, including your home. It could be a project as big as giving the entire interior a fresh coat of paint or as simple as replacing the outdated knobs on the kitchen cabinets. Whatever it might be, it will definitely help your home (and you!) feel appreciated.
Simple Things
You don't have to break the bank to show your home you love it. A simple swap of photos, art, or furniture can help the whole dynamic of a room shift. Maybe add a new rug or take one to a different room. Changing the curtains/ blinds to let more light in can also be helpful. Adding some indoor greenery will help with overall sense of well-being and air quality. You can also up the ante by adding some fresh-cut flowers to each room of your home. Sometimes, though, its not the physical things that make the biggest difference; if you haven't had friends over for some time, why not plan a get-together to fill your home with those you love and laugh with the most?
Bigger Projects
Every once in a while your home needs a little more TLC to bring it back to its former glory. Have a lingering project you've been putting off for a while? Maybe now is the time to tackle it! You may have some small, annoying projects that you've been putting off - for example, realigning doors that aren't latching properly. It could be upgrading the outdated vanity in the master bath, replacing the cracked tile in the kitchen, or putting in a few ceiling fans to help with air circulation. Windows outdated and letting the chill in? If you have the means, replace them! Not only will your home be thankful, so will your wallet in the long run! Whatever the project may be, once completed it could give your home the pizzazz its been yearning for.
