Interstate 89 also passes through Bolton, though without an interchange in the town itself. Bolton Valley ski area, situated in the northeastern part of the town at the highest base elevation of any Vermont ski resort, is accessible from Route 2. The Long Trail traverses Bolton on its path between Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield.
